Elevate North Report

On Friday night 5th February 104 youth leaders from ten different new life churches invaded Rotorua Living Wells church for the first of five elevate regional training events to be run around the country.  We began with some fantastic worship led by the Living Wells team and a strong word by Sarah Winterson on “The Rising Daniel Generation”. This was a great introduction to a heart changing weekend.  Other sessions included “Winning Others Over” by Craig Jourdain who gave practical advice, with added humour, on how to build relationships with new youth and connect them to yourself and God.   We then launched into setting “Faith goals” encouraging listeners to set some goals as well as do a weekly timetable. This was not only practical but a great learning curve for people to see the structure of their daily lives and to actually think about and be challenged by setting goals that require a lot of faith.

Lastly there were split sessions which covered “Moving in the Prophetic” and “Building a Team of Youth Leaders.” Both of which were very insightful, challenging and practical.

Elevate was an amazing, God – filled weekend connecting with others and God. It was a weekend with a great emphasis on relationships. Each person came away challenged, inspired and on fire, eager to use what they’d learned. Their hearts had been enlarged, their vision enhanced and their lives changed!
